In response to the growing demand for drones as a business tool, Measure Australia has hired Rebecca Fox as a Business Development Manager for Residential Real Estate, based in Sydney.
Initially Fox will focus on the residential real estate industry, an area where she has significant prior experience and where demand for drones is taking off at an accelerated pace.
“We’ve seen strong growth across the board in the last few months but particularly within the real estate industry. This time last year it was only really waterfront or rural ‘trophy homes’ that were using drones as part of the sales process. However, we are now seeing increasing demand from suburban realtors wanting to show a property’s proximity to key infrastructure such as schools, commercial areas and public transport,” said Measure Australia CEO Mark Stevens.
Rebecca has previous experience of building relationships in the property industry having worked as a Business Development and Guest Sales Manager with Property Providers Pty Ltd.
Measure Australia provides drones “as a service” to large businesses in the real estate, insurance, agriculture, infrastructure and mining industries. It uses drones to capture data more safely and efficiently than traditional aircraft or manual services.
The company has developed proprietary software to securely house and deliver data to customers in a variety of formats. Photography and video are the most common but the data might also be in the form of geographical information, heat mapping or other bespoke requirements.
